About Us

The Cancer Biology Training Consortium (CABTRAC) is a 501(c)(3) national non-profit membership organization. Established in 2005 to facilitate the exchange of ideas between individuals and institutions dedicated to the mission of training the next generation of cancer researchers, the consortium works closely with over 80 institutions within the United States as well as the NIH National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Training Branch.

Mission: Tackling cancer, which will soon become the leading cause of U.S. mortality, requires highly educated and trained researchers. The objective of the Cancer Biology Training Consortium is to create a forum for development of the innovative and multidisciplinary training mechanisms needed to produce the highest quality cancer scientists.

Vision: The Cancer Biology Training Consortium seeks to reduce death and suffering due to cancer through a collaborative network of organizations with the shared goal of improving graduate, medical and post-doctoral training and educational programs to produce the highest quality cancer researchers.
